Denn mit den Oxipyr-Brennern lassen sich bis zu 60% Erdgas einsparen.
„Das bedeutet natürlich auch eine enorme Reduktion der aktuellen Abhängigkeit von russischem Erdgas“, bringt Rauch einen weiteren wesentlichen Vorteil auf den Punkt. Zudem lässt sich damit die Produktionsleistung eines Ofens bei gleichzeitiger Reduktion der direkten CO2-Emissionen deutlich steigern.
Einsatzgebiete der Oxipyr-Brenner
Vor allem bei Hochtemperatur-Anwendungen (900°C und mehr) wie etwa beim Vorwärmen metallurgischer Gefäße, Recycling von Aluminium und Blei in Drehtrommelöfen sind die Sauerstoffbrenner von Messer optimal geeignet. Aber auch für das Umschmelzen von Kupfer und Aluminium in Herdöfen und für Wiedererwärmungsöfen für Stahl sind sie daher in namhaften österreichischen Industriebetrieben im Einsatz.
„Die Verbrennung ist damit deutlich effizienter. Denn durch den Einsatz von Sauerstoffbrennern fällt der gesamte Stickstoffballast eines Luftbrenners weg – das sind immerhin fast 80% des benötigten Oxidatorvolumens. Dadurch können zum Beispiel metallurgische Gefäße wie Pfannen und Konverter um ein Vielfaches schneller aufgeheizt werden als mit konventionellen Brennern – die eingebrachte Energie geht schneller, homogener und effizienter auf das jeweilige Gut über.“
Mit herkömmlichen Brennern kommt es außerdem oft zu hohen Deckentemperaturen im Ofen, was wiederum die Lebensdauer der Feuerfestausmauerung reduziert und zu Ofenstillstandszeiten führt. Auch Engpässe im Produktionsprozess oder eine zu geringe Produktionsleistung des Ofens lassen sich mit Oxipyr effektiv verhindern.
Einfache Umrüstung, schnelle Amortisation
„Das Umrüsten auf die Sauerstoffbrenner-Technologie von Messer ist weder kompliziert bzw. langwierig noch kostenintensiv“, betont Rauch. Messer Austria bietet nicht nur die Brenner selbst, sondern auch die Regelsysteme und alle zusätzlichen Module, die erforderlich sind, sowie die Montage. Den Amortisationszeitraum für den Tausch des Brenners beziffert Rauch mit unter einem Jahr.
Übrigens: „Unsere Brenner funktionieren auch mit Wasserstoff“, fügt Rauch als eine Art Randnotiz hinzu – wohlwissend, dass die Herstellung von Wasserstoff aktuell noch sehr energieintensiv ist. „Aber auch die Probleme dahingehend werden eines Tages gelöst sein. Und dann ist mit den Oxipyr-Brennern ein nochmaliges Umrüsten nicht erforderlich.“
